The listings that are not in one of the Scottish towns this directory covers. They are shown here, in one place, and labelled as outside the area.
The directory covers the Scottish towns listed above — the Central Belt (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Ayrshire, Dunbartonshire, Falkirk, Stirling, Fife and the Lothians), plus Aberdeen, Inverness, Dundee, Perth, the Borders and the rest — each with its own page. A business outside Scotland, or one that serves the whole country and belongs to no single town, is filed here instead: it can still be listed, but we do not present it as a local listing.
Sometimes a customer wants a specialist they will travel to, or a supplier who delivers into the Central Belt, and a directory that hides those businesses is less useful than one that says plainly where they are. So rather than refuse the submission, we publish it here — separately, labelled, and out of the local results.
No. Out-of-area businesses are kept off every town page and out of the town counts on the homepage, the directory and the category pages. The only place they appear is here, plus their own business page.
Use the Add your business form, tick “My business is outside the Central Belt” and give us the actual town or county — we publish that, not an invented Central Belt town. Listing is free, the same as everywhere else on the site, and your confirmation email says plainly where your listing will appear.
You can still be listed — on this page, clearly labelled.
